Morgan Rhymes (she/her) is a Survivor Response Advocate committed to promoting safety, dignity, and empowerment for survivors. She upholds a trauma-informed approach that emphasizes listening without judgment and recognizing each individual holistically.
Morgan holds a degree in psychology from Louisiana State University, where she conducted research on the effects of humor to psychological well-being following exposure to trauma. Her professional experiences includes crisis and suicide intervention, safety planning, advocacy, and resource support through both the national crisis hotline and the STAR hotline. Prior to her current role, Morgan served as a Part-Time Medical Advocate (PTMA), providing support and advocacy for survivors throughout the forensic medical exam process. She is also dedicated to addressing systemic factors that contribute to sex-based disparities.
In her free time, she enjoys rock music, reading, sports, and talking about her cats whenever she gets the chance.
