Devin Jackson
he/him/his
Prevention Coordinator
Devin Jackson is a Sherman, Texas native, a small town north of Dallas on the Oklahoma border. He moved to Baton Rouge to play football for the Southern University Jaguars, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Devin is now pursuing his master’s degree in Criminal Justice, continuing to deepen his commitment to service, justice, and community advancement.
Raised by his mother and aunt—both single mothers—and growing up with ten sisters, Devin developed a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and advocacy. These experiences have shaped his passion for supporting women and children and inspired his professional work in youth services and at a domestic violence shelter and now here at STAR in Baton Rouge.
When he is not working or studying, Devin enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors, and being with family. Guided by his favorite scripture, Hebrews 11:25–26, he strives to approach every area of life with compassion, purpose, and a desire to improve the human experience for all.
