Chelsea was born and raised in Central Louisiana. From a young age, she knew she wanted to work in the mental health field helping others. She began that journey by becoming an advocate with STAR in 2022 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Upper Iowa University in 2023. She later earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University in May 2026 after completing a year-long clinical internship with STAR. Following graduation, she obtained her license as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC). Chelsea is now a full-time therapist in STAR’s Trauma Therapy Program and is passionate about helping others heal, grow, and create a path forward.
