Counselor
Courtney M. Rogers, LMSW (she/her/hers) was born and raised in South Louisiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at Southeastern Louisiana University and earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama.
Early in her career, Courtney worked as a school-based therapist supporting elementary-aged children and their families. She later worked on social welfare policy issues in Washington, DC, before returning to Louisiana to serve as Director of Policy and Advocacy at a local nonprofit. In this role, she advanced efforts to improve child well-being, including family support, violence prevention, and education.
Courtney takes a holistic approach to counseling, centering the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Her background in policy and advocacy informs a systems-aware perspective, recognizing how access to resources and larger systems can shape a survivor’s life trajectory and healing after a traumatic experience. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families through a trauma-informed, client-centered lens that promotes safety and balance.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time in nature and baking sweet treats for friends and family.
