Ryanne Madigan was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and is a proud mother of three and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. A certified trauma coach, Ryanne brings both lived experience and professional training to her role at STAR. Her journey with the organization began as a hotline volunteer, then progressed to PTMA, and she now serves as a dedicated Resource Advocate.

 

As a survivor of sexual violence, Ryanne is deeply committed to turning her pain into purpose. She is a fierce advocate for underserved communities and is especially passionate about uplifting and supporting fellow survivors. It is her dream to one day launch a program specifically focused on serving LGBTQIA+ survivors.

 

Ryanne plans to continue her education by pursuing a master’s degree in psychology and counseling to further her personal and professional growth. When she’s not at STAR, she enjoys spending time in nature with her children, attending local music events and festivals with her partner, and exploring Baton Rouge’s vibrant food scene.
