Helping parents\, who are secondary survivors\, can help the parent in their healing process and help them better provide support and care for their child. \nThe group will run for 8 consecutive weeks on Thursday evenings beginning at 5:30 p.m. It will be hosted at STAR’s office\, located at 1412 Peterman Drive\, Suite A\, Alexandria\, LA 71301. The group will work to build rapport with one another to establish a source of support and healing. Join us on April 16th in Alexandria for this workshop sponsored by the Junior League of Alexandria. Admission is free and open to the general public. Continuing education credits are available to counselors and social workers for $20. \nThis program is approved for 1.5 General contact hours for social workers by Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response as authorized by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners. This program has been approved for 1.5 General contact hours for counselors.
