Lizzy was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies she quickly moved to New Orleans in 2017. Lizzy then went on to receive her Masters of Social Work with a certificate in Disaster and Collective Trauma from Tulane School of Social Work in 2019.
Lizzy started at STAR as an intern and is now a full time resource advocate. Lizzy is passionate about combating sexual violence and is interested incorporating holistic methods of care while working with survivors. Lizzy is excited to work collaboratively with the community to raise awareness of sexual assault while empowering survivors.
