DESCRIPTION:Sexual Trauma Awareness & Response (STAR) will be closed from Tuesday\, July 2nd to Sunday\, July 7th in observance of Summer Break. \nResearch suggests over half of all sexual trauma response practitioners experience stress symptoms and high levels of compassion fatigue. The mental health benefits of taking a short pause from sexual trauma advocacy work provide an opportunity to improve psychological well-being\, recalibrate work-life balance\, and act as a protective factor against burnout. During this time dedicated to individual development and reflection\, the 24/7 hotline will still be available if you need support: 855-435-7827. \nAdditional resources available during STAR’s summer break are as follows: \n\nRAINN: (Rape\, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.
