Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Claire obtained a Bachelor of General Studies with minors in Business Administration, Psychology, and Theatre from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) She continued her studies at LSU with a Master of Social Work, completing clinical internships at STAR and the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center, where she was trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and provided therapy to survivors of sexual violence, and children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and violence. It was through these learning opportunities that she discovered her passion for serving survivors.

Claire joined our counseling team in 2024 and is based out of the Baton Rouge branch. She believes that counseling should be a welcoming and safe space for all, and that every person should be treated with dignity and compassion. She aims to empower her clients and their right to autonomy, and to eradicate the stigma of mental health by promoting healing and education, and advocating for social change.

Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her son, family, and friends. She loves nothing more than a good book, something to laugh about, and rewatching her favorite shows to an ad nauseum degree.
