Brooke Allen, LCSW
Counseling Director, Baton Rouge
Brooke Allen has resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for almost nine years and is originally from Arkansas. Brooke received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2007. In 2008, Brooke moved to Baton Rouge where she worked as a mentor coordinator for the Big Buddy Program and found joy in providing community based services to Baton Rouge youth. Brooke went on to pursue her Master’s degree in social work from the Louisiana State University, graduating in 2012, and has worked as a Licensed Master Social Worker in dynamic settings and with various populations.
Through STAR, Brooke provides individual crisis intervention counseling to survivors, survivors families and friends, and helps facilitate support groups to cultivate and encourage continued recovery for survivors. Brooke supports STAR’s vision to provide better access to supportive services and to help build a healthy community free from oppression and sexual trauma through outreach and education.
